After departing from your Cape Town pickup point, the tour heads into the heart of the Cape Winelands, with the first stop at the world renowned wine region of Stellenbosch. Stellenbosch is a charming town lying at the foot of the Cape Fold Mountains, and the drive there offers some of the country's most scenic landscapes over this beautiful wine region.
In Stellenbosch, there is time to discover the historic town before heading to one of the country's leading wine estates. Here, guests take part in wine tastings and enjoy the magical scenery and views on offer.
From Stellenbosch, a short, scenic drive leads through more beautiful vineyards and mountainous terrain to Franschhoek. Franschhoek is home to striking Colonial Dutch farmhouses, many still standing in their original form, built on land first farmed by French Huguenot refugees who settled here centuries ago. The town carries a distinctive blend of Dutch and French influence, visible throughout its architecture and culture.
In Franschhoek, the tour takes you to some of the area's finest wineries, to walk the gardens, admire the unspoiled beauty and historic Dutch architecture, and taste more exceptional wine. Franschhoek is home to some truly special wineries, where guests learn about the region's wine culture, alongside lunch amid the area's magical scenery.
Guests are welcome to purchase wine directly from the estates visited along the way, a wonderful way to take home a bottle of the cultivated excellence and precision found in every glass produced here.
