Situated on the western side of the 75 000-hectare Madikwe Game Reserve, Motswiri Safari Lodge offers an exclusive wildlife experience. With only five luxury suites and one family villa, guests are assured a personal safari getaway with attention to every detail. With magnificent views over the Big 5 game reserve, it is truly a place of harmony and serenity where nature is given the spotlight.
Nestled among Leadwood trees, the Motswiri Safari Lodge area comprises a separate lounge, dining room, and bar, each with its own roaring fireplace in the winter. The design is a celebration of the surrounding landscapes with high thatch ceilings and natural color palettes. The layout beautifully integrates organic elements with rustic and elegant accents.
The exterior features a rim-flow pool with a view of the active waterhole and a communal viewing deck where you can sip cocktails in the shade of ancient trees. Evening meals can be savoured in the boma around a roaring fire. Here, lanterns romantically light up the outdoor dining area while starlit skies shimmer up above.

Madikwe Game Reserve is located in the North Western Province of South Africa and lies on the South Africa/Botswana border.
Getting There
- Madikwe airstrip is the closet airstrip.
- There are two daily scheduled return flights from Johannesburg to Madikwe Airstrip with Federal Airlines.
- Flight time: Johannesburg to Madikwe: 60 minutes
- Road transfers from Madikwe Airstrip to the lodge take approximately 15 – 30 minutes.
- The reserve is a 4 – 4.5-hour drive from Johannesburg.
