The Silo Hotel

The Silo hotel uniquely captures luxury art-deco in a time capsule of vintage design and futuristic architecture. A celebration of art, culture, and opulent living, the five-star premium hotel is ideally situated on the edge of a historic natural harbour with Table Mountain as its backdrop. Towering above the V&A Waterfront, it offers guests a cosmopolitan mix of tourist activities, dining, shopping, culture, and entertainment.

The building was used for nearly 80 years as a grain silo and has been transformed with architectural genius into a luxury masterpiece with 82 windows, each with 56 panels of hand-cut glass. The Silo Hotel in Cape Town is positioned above Zeitz MOCAA (Museum of Contemporary Art Africa) which is home to Africa’s largest collection of contemporary African art in the world. The hotel is itself houses its very own collection of 250 contemporary African artworks integrated into the décor. Silo rooms and suites offer all the creature comforts guests could require from bathtubs with a view, walk-in rain showers, and double vanities, to complimentary snacks, air-conditioning, television, a balcony, and automatic shades.

The Silo Hotel offers an indulgent spa, fitness facility, and rooftop pool with expansive views. Dining options range from The Willaston Bar to enjoy a classic cocktail, The Granary Café for breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and high tea to the Tempura Bar for fresh oysters beside the indulgent pool. Exclusive private dining rooms for 6 to 22 guests are available for small functions.

The Silo Hotel’s location offers guests a wonderland of shopping, markets, global cuisine, and sightseeing tours.
