Londolozi Game Reserve spans 14,000 hectares along the banks of the Sand River, offering stunning landscapes and abundant African wildlife. The reserve is renowned for its exceptional Big-5 sightings, especially its famous leopard population, often referred to as the “leopards of Londolozi.” Londolozi is also known for having some of the highest concentrations of white rhino and lion in the region. Game drives, led by world-class rangers and trackers, occur twice daily, providing intimate and educational wildlife encounters. Londolozi is proud to be one of only two reserves in South Africa with Master Trackers, offering guests an unmatched tracking experience.

Londolozi is the first game reserve in the world to receive Relais & Châteaux status, a mark of excellence that places it among the world’s most luxurious destinations. The reserve features five luxury lodges, including two adults-only and three family-friendly options. Each lodge offers unique accommodation with exquisite décor and a blend of modern and traditional African styles. Dining experiences are exceptional, ranging from fireside banquets to private meals in intimate settings, all served with world-class cuisine. Wildlife

  • High concentration of Big 5 with large herds of elephant and buffalo. White rhino and lion concentrations are among the highest recorded on the African continent.
  • Other wildlife include but are not limited to the hippopotamus, giraffe, zebra, cheetah, African wild dog, hyaena, warthog and many other cat and antelope species.
  • Large antelope herds support the populations of predators in the reserve.
  • Over 500 bird species have been recorded in the region. Many can be seen in the reserve.

Game Drives

  • Game drives take place twice a day in the early mornings and afternoons for a duration of 3-4 hours.
  • Game drives are led by an experienced guide and tracker team.
  • Vehicles are allowed to go off road to track and follow the wildlife.
  • Strict traverse rules are in place and vehicle numbers are limited in each reserve. A maximum of two vehicles are allowed at any sighting.
  • Night drives and guided bush walk are permitted

Location

  • Located in the middle of the Sabi Sands Game Reserve and shares fenceless borders with MalaMala, Silvan and Singita private game reserves.
  • Sabi Sands lies in South Africa’s far north-eastern corner in the Mpumalanga province. The private reserve forms part of the Greater Kruger, sharing unfenced borders with the Kruger National Park.

  • Londolozi private airstrip is the closet airstrip, two daily chartered flights from Johannesburg are operated by Federal Airlines.
  • Skukuza (SKU) is the closet commercial airport to Londolozi Game Reserve, daily flights operate from Johannesburg and Cape Town.
  • Flight time from Johannesburg to Skukuza or Londolozi private airstrip: 60 minutes.
  • Flight time from Cape Town to Skukuza: 2 hours 30 minutes.
  • Road transfers from Skukuza to Londolozi Game Reserve take 60 minutes.
