Savanna
Game Reserve

Savanna Game Reserve lies in the Sabi Sands, part of the Greater Kruger National Park Conservancy. This five-star private reserve is renowned for frequent Big 5 sightings with a number of nearby dams attracting wildlife and a large bird colony. All-round game viewing opportunities abound as the lodge itself has an expansive deck overlooking a series of waterholes frequented by game.

Savanna Private Game Reserve offers world-class game drives twice-daily in 4×4 safari vehicles. Game rangers are conservation experts with a wealth of knowledge about the reserve, the animals, and tracking wildlife for rare sightings. Night drives allow guests to experience the nocturnal animals of the wild.  Be mesmerized by the African Big 5 as well as giraffe, zebra, hippo, hyena, a variety of antelope, and a number of intriguing smaller creatures. The region is also great for birdwatching which you can enjoy from your private deck or during a walking safari. A cultural trip to the local village gives guests an insight into the vibrant community customs and way of life.

This intimate 5-star lodge offers an authentic safari experience in tented suites without foregoing any of life’s luxuries. All suites are equipped with private viewing decks and plunge pools. Dining at Savanna Private Game Reserve is an experience in itself with fantastic African barbecues around a blazing fire in the open-air ‘boma’ or intimate candle-lit dinners in a remote bush setting. Whether relaxing in the lounge with its expansive deck, or at the main pool overlooking lush plantations, Savanna Lodge provides a unique Sabi Sands safari experience.
